Calvin and Hobbies

Made up my mind to read the Institutes in their entirety by 2010 2011. Usually we just fall asleep next to each other. More dates w Jhon coming soon.

Finished a painting assignment  from a long, long time ago in July. The burnt umber painting in my last post had a one hour time limit. This one I gave myself six hours. I like it better. Squiggly stuff in pic three is either my finger rubbing off paint or tiny rolled up paper towel half covered in paint. Technically it’s a sophisticated finger painting.

What started off as a project for a friend’s dohl party became a part-time job. For the past two days. I spent maybe cumulative five hours so far on making tiny clay figurines. I’m going to sell them on etsy I think. So people can buy whatever they want individually (they can ask for specific things to be made too), and have them assembled onto a cake topper base before I ship it to them. And use it on their birthday cake or baby shower cake or dog adoption party cake or whatever other event cake. And once it’s over, they can stick the figurines in a shadow box frame to hang on the wall and commemorate their event! We’ll see what happens. I haven’t worked with Sculpey in a long time, so getting the proportions right for the people will take a few more attempts.
